KINSHASA, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF CONGO — June 3, 2026 — Chemaf SA (“Chemaf”) Chairman Phillip Braun was received by His Excellency the Minister of Mines at the Ministry’s offices in Kinshasa for a working session on the progress of Chemaf’s operations since the completion of the ownership transition to Virtus Minerals.

The session, called by the Minister as part of his regular oversight of the country’s strategic mining assets, focused on operational progress two months after the finalization of the transaction.

During the meeting, Mr. Braun reported on the continued advancement of work at the Étoile and Mutoshi projects in the Haut-Katanga and Lualaba provinces. He also outlined Chemaf’s commitments to local development, including ongoing dialogue with neighboring communities, the creation of jobs, and the training of Congolese workers.

The Minister encouraged Chemaf to maintain close collaboration with the Ministry of Mines to ensure the success of its projects, in compliance with the laws of the Republic and the best practices of the mining industry, in line with the vision of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, and under the coordination of Her Excellency the Prime Minister, Judith Suminwa Tuluka.

The Minister also requested the submission of a monthly activity report to support continued oversight of the project, and underlined the importance of harmonious collaboration with local communities and with the artisanal miners operating around the concession perimeter.

Chemaf welcomed the Minister’s guidance and reaffirmed its commitment to executing its development plans in close partnership with the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
