Gavin is a Chemical Engineer with a degree from The Queen’s University, Belfast and an MBA degree from the University of Cape Town. With over 36 years’ experience in the African mining, metallurgical and minerals processing industries, Gavin has held senior management and board positions in Mining and Multinational EPCM Companies, as well as Process and Project Management Consultancies. Gavin’s track record as a copper, cobalt, platinum, and gold mining projects director covers successful stints in South Africa, the DRC, Zambia, the Republic of Congo, Mozambique and Ghana. As a consultant, Gavin specialises in pre-feasibility and feasibility studies on large capital projects. His strong technical background in base and precious metals mineral processing and hydrometallurgy, coupled with his project management and project development experience, has led to Gavin being invited to undertake peer reviews, audits, and due diligence for both new capital projects and established operations.
